Mucusless Detox Diet Defined

Mucusless Detox diet was the outcome from Arnold Ehret’s book ‘Mucusless diet recovering system’. The author was suffering from an incurable disease called the ‘Bright’s illness’, which is related to the kidney and consequently, substances of albumin as well as mucus are traced in the urine. The author undertook further study and derived that the best detoxification of the body is to cleanse the above two substance, albumin and mucus, from the system. He then tried to select such foods which helped in the mucusless detox diet. The detox consists of leafy vegetables and fruits which had inherent vitamins and minerals that helps in energizing the body and stimulate the metabolic reaction.

Before undertaking the mucusless detox diet a transition detox diet was prepared. He believed that sudden change to a different diet plan may not be helpful for health conditions. Therefore a gradual introduction to the main treatment is necessary through the transition diet. According to him the person suffering from such ailments should have two meals a day which should contain fresh fruits, vegetables and nuts. He also recommended fasting for detox. The mucusless detox diet has to be continued for forty days after the transition diet.

Normally restriction is not found in this diet plan if it contains sufficient vegetables and fruits.There fore it is suggested that for mucusless detox diet one should eat in the following routine.

1. Breakfast: The breakfast should contain banana as well as orange juice.
2. Lunch: Lunch is the primary course and therefore should contain a lot of leafy vegetables like the steamed spinach as well as broccoli, baked potatoes, and also vegetable soups.
3. Snacks: In snacks he recommends to eat only vegetable related food and fruit juice.
4. Dinner: Dinner is not suggested to be elaborate but should be restricted to vegetable salad.

When you are on mucusless detox diet it is prudent to combine it with some sort of exercises which will help the body detoxification. Exercises like walking, hiking, biking, swimming or doing aerobics will assist the diet plan. Many people find that the diet plan is difficult for them to continue. But when they suffer from a disease that cannot be cured medically they will be forced to follow this diet plan just like medications.
